LAWDA demolishes illegal structures

Srinagar: The Enforcement Wing of the LAWDA Thursday carried demolition drive at Karpora, Khaki Mohalla Nishat, Teilbal Shalimar, Habak, Lal Bazar, Buchwara Dalgate and Saidakadal.

A LAWDA spokesperson in a statement said during the demolition drive, 10 illegally raised structures were demolished. “Those including four commercial structures in Karpora to Nishat,  one structure at Tealbal Shalimar, one structure at Habak, one walling in greenbelt at Lal Bazar, two structures at Buchwara, one teen walling at Saikadal were demolished,” the spokesperson said. He said during the demolition stiff resistance was faced by demolition squad.

“Further, all the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction are hereby directed that not to go for any sort of illegal construction, as the Enforcement Wing will continue with demolition of illegal construction,” the spokesperson added.
