A 35-year-old man was found dead in a nallah near tourist resort of Sonamarg on Tuesday, police said.
An official said that an unidentified male body was recovered from nallah Sindh at Gagangeer on Tuesday. He said that locals spotted the body floating in the nallah following which they informed the police. A police team from Police station Gund reached on spot and retrieved the body, he said. “Initial investigation suggested that the deceased was around 35-years-old and was wearing short jeans,” said the official. They said that the identity of the deceased was not immediately known and the body has been kept in mortuary for identification at Trauma Hospital Kangan.
Police have taken cognizance, he added.
