SRINAGAR: The Government today on the basis of the recommendations of J&K Services Selection Board issued appointment order of 212 Junior Engineers in grade –II in the pay band-2 of Rs 9300-34800 with Grade pay of Rs 4200 in Roads and Buildings Department. The appointees shall be on probation for a period of two years.
The appointment order in this regard was approved by Minister for Roads & Buildings Mr. Abdul Rehman Veeri on last Wednesday.
The Minister said that the appointees hailing from Jammu Division shall report to Chief Engineer, PW(R&B), Jammu and those hailing from Kashmir Division shall report to Chief Engineer, Pw(R&B). While as the candidates from Ladakh region shall report to District Superintending Engineer (Civil) Public Works (R&B) Department Leh.
The Minister said that government endeavors to give new impetus to the working of the department by channelizing the energies of young and budding engineers. He said government is endeavoring to create modern and concrete infrastructure in the state. He further said in this regard several innovative measures have already been initiated adding that appointment of young and dynamic engineers without any delay is one of the foremost step of the government.
Mr. Veeri reiterated that complete transparency and accountability is being ensured in the working of the department to ensure completion of all the ongoing and new projects under different sectors within the stipulated time frame so that the benefits of these percolate down to the people well in time.
