Unauthorized clinics, diagnostic labs to be closed: Govt

15 hospitals provided with CT scan facilities

SRINAGAR:  Minister for Health & Medical Education Bali Bhagat today said that government will soon take action a unauthorized clinics and diagnostic labs in the state.

The Minister was replying to a question by Ashok Khajuria.

The Minister informed the House that district hospitals in the state are already being equipped with modern diagnostic equipments and the government is taking steps to augment their capacity by upgrading health infrastructure in the State.

Mr. Bhagat informed that under National Health Mission, the Central Government has agreed to support PPP mode for outsourcing of diagnostic facilities. He said that 22 hospitals have been upgraded as district hospitals in the state. He also informed that 15 hospitals of which 9 in Jammu and 6 in Kashmir Division have been provided CT scan facilities to improve the patient care.

Ajatshatru Singh,  Iqbal Zaffar Manhas, Javid Mirchal, Surinder Ambardar, Qaisar Jamshed Lone, and Naresh Kumar Gupta raised supplementaries to the question.
