Police organizes marathon race in Anantnag

Srinagar: A marathon competition was organized by police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) in Anantnag today.
60 students from different schools of Anantnag District participated in the event. The marathon started from Apple valley Bijbehra and culminated at Higher Secondary School Srigufwara.
The participants who achieved first three places in the competition were awarded with cash prizes and certificates, besides others participants were also awarded with the certificates of participation.
The event was aimed to attract people particularly young generation towards the running for their physical and mental fitness.
The event was witnessed by a large number of people, police officers and officials of the district.
On the conclusion of the event, SDPO Bijbehra Shri. Tanveer Ahmad Dar and Principal Government Higher Secondary School Srigufwara Dr. Mohammad Amin interacted with the participants.
