1563 Rehbar-e-Zirat to be regularized

Srinagar: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today approved regularization of 1563 Rehbar-e Zirats (ReZs) who were working in the Agriculture Department since 2006.

The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting which he chaired on May 16, 2016. The Minister had given instructions to the Agriculture Production Department to process regularization orders of all leftover ReZs including those working in projects, and those ReZs pursuing higher studies, besides ReZs who are rendering services continuously in the department till 23 May 2016.

Hanjura said that it was a long pending demand which was fulfilled adding that the Agriculture fraternity had heaved a sigh of relief on this decision which will go a long way in giving boost to the agriculture activities in the State.

The Minister asked the ReZs to work with utmost dedication and come up to the expectations of the farmers. He also directed them to conduct frequent field visits to their respective jurisdictions and aware farmers about the latest techniques besides conduct awareness programmes about schemes of the agriculture department meant for benefit of farmers.
