Top Hurriyat leaders, Syed Ali Geelani, Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, on Monday held a meeting at the former’s residence in Hyderpora to discuss a joint strategy against the proposed Sainik and Pandit colonies in Kashmir.

During the meeting, it was decided that a shutdown would be observed on Thursday, followed by protests on Friday, said a Hurriyat (G) spokesman.

He said both Malik and Mirwaiz arrived at Hyderpora residence of Geelani at 5:45 pm.

“They had a fruitful meeting which lasted for more than one-and-a-half-hours,” he said.
