Police on Wednesday fished out body of a girl who commits suicide by jumping in river Jehlum last week at Baramulla, from a dam in Salamabad area of Uri on Friday.
A police official told that a police party recovered a semi decomposed body from Salamabad dam today in the morning. Later, the body has been identified as Rehana (17) daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Rohama, Baramulla.
He said after completing all legal formalities, the body was handed over to her family members for last rites,” the official said.
Pertinently, the 17-year-old girl, Rehana jumped into river Jhelum from Cement bridge on May 15.
