The Sajid Iqbal Foundation, today organised its 10th biannual blood donation drive at SK Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura. The drive took place in the memory of noted human rights lawyer Sajid Iqbal.
The donation camp drew a lot of attention with participants coming in from distant places like Anantnag and Baramullah. Female donors also participated in large numbers.
The drive saw people from all walks of life including lawyers, journalists, teachers, bureaucrats, police officers, doctors and students donating blood in large numbers.
While welcoming the donors on the occasion Sehar Iqbal, Executive Director of the Foundation said this drive is organised as a contribution to the health care Institute, as the foundation realises that blood donation is the crucial way of saving lives.
She thanked Amblin Services and Parsa Foods for their crucial support.
111 points of blood were donated at the event.
