THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: When just a day is left for the announcement of Assembly election results, allegations and counter allegation over mathematics behind polling is flying thick and fast.
This was triggered by the exit poll results that started coming out since yesterday 6pm.
BJP has also joined the scene with a serious allegation that the UDF and LDF had cross-voted in two constituencies to defeat the BJP. BJP State president Kummanm Rajasekharan has alleged that in Nemom and Vattiyoorkavu constituencies the LDF and UDF cross-voted to defeat the BJP candidates.
“Both fronts had connived to ensure that the BJP doesn’t emerge winner in these constituencies. This was done neglecting the opposition by a group in each Front,” he alleged.
Such an allegation was also raised by Nemom BJP candidate and senior leader O Rajagopal. But he expressed the confidence that the party would overcome this secret deals and win by about 8000 votes in Nemom.
“In Nemom, Surendran Pillai was fielded as the UDF candidate to facilitate cross voting. No Congressmen, were found even in booths,” he added.
