Police Golf Course thrown open for golfers
Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar threw open Police Golf Course at a Tee Off function held here this evening. The Golf Course is situated on the banks of world famous Dal Lake.
On this occasion, Rajendra said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has been promoting sports in the State and as a part of this activity, Golf Course has been established to sustain the century old game of the Valley. He said that JKP has helped the Golf to survive during the times of turmoil and prevented it from being extinct. Police Golf Course remained active and constantly groomed golfers paving way for the survival of golf in the Valley. Our aim is to promote Golf as a game and ensure production of professional young golfers, he added.
Rajendra appreciated the efforts of ADGP Armed and his team members for their dedicated efforts in maintaining Gold Course.
Earlier, ADGP (Armed), L. Mohanti deliberated on the efforts being made for maintaining the Golf Course. He said that the Golf Course is being maintained as per the standards.
The function was also attended by DGs. SK Mishra and Gopl Reddy, ADGsP, Dilbag Singh and AK Choudhary, IGsP, SJM Gillani, MA Khan, SA Watali and Sunil Kumar, DIGsP, GH Bhat and Uttam Chand, Commandant JKAP 9th Bn, Shalender Sharma and other police officers.
