Asserting that PDP was pursuing agenda of peace and prosperity, Member Legislative Council Firdous Tak Thursday said that Jammu and Kashmir under the present dispensation headed by Ms Mehbooba Mufti is witnessing new era of transparency and accountability.

Chenab Valley, he said, has huge manpower of skilled youth who have gained experience while working at Dul Hasti, Rattle and Baglihar Hydel Projects. However, due to the completion of work on Baglihar project they have become unemployed, he said.

The legislator reviewed the ongoing membership drive by the party and expressed satisfaction over the way the party workers were reaching to the people not only to strengthen its base but also to spread the message of the organization.

District President Sheikh Nasir Hussain presented the brief about the drive and organizational activities being carried out across the district. He said that the performance of the government has rejuvenated the party cadre across the state.
